Fraud is intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage individuals or an institution. University Audits may assist with fraud investigations. Although our day-to-day audit work may detect fraud, we cannot confirm fraud without the help of the University community. Fraud is identified because people speak up. The University Compliance Hotline is a way to anonymously report suspected fraudulent activity. The University also maintains several specific reporting mechanisms across campus as required by various federal laws and state regulations (check the Compliance Resource Center).
